AN UNIDENTIFIED BIOGRAPHY OF MUHAMMAD OF THE LATE 
17th OR EARLY 18th CENTURY 

Incomplete at both ends and probably a large fragment 
of the work. It begins only with the attack on Banu an-Nadir. 
Authorities quoted include al-Bukharl, Ibn Kathir, Ibn Ishaq, 
Sharh Muslim U'n-Jfewaw£, Ta'rikhu '1-madinati 'l-tabir (by 
as-Sayyid r.s-Samhudi) , al-Hafiz ad-DimyaU, Ibn 'Abdalbarr, etc. 
There ore ra^ny marginal glosses.

This old MS (undated) , apparently complete, lacks title 
(but see "Begins"), author's name. There are many annotations, 
but no glosses. It covers the full range of grammar and is 
set out in 524 sections. It is almost certainly a l?th century 
autograph or early copy of en autograph. 

Folios 263, 10 x 6-1 in; in single columns of 27 lines to page, 
no border. Written on waxed, stained matt paper in inelegant 
Naskh, uhvocalized, with few orthographic signs. Section 
numbers in margins; no rubrics. Annotations in original band.

AN UNIDENTIFIED WORK ON THE MAGICAL ARTS, 
ESPECIALLY ON GEOMANCY 

This MS, written in the late l8th or earty 19th century, 
covers the usual range of topics on geomancy end associated 
arts. There is no indication of authorities and the whole 
appears to be a well-devised manual on 'ilm ar-raml. 

Folios 123, 6? x 4 inj in single columns of 13 linos to page, 
within R border of one black line, ft x 3* in. Written on 
thick, hori 2 ontal]y-laid paper in clear Egyptian Naskh, unvoc- 
aiized, without orthographic signs. No rubrics, headings,

Places? worm-holos at beginning and end. Note of previous
