most of that is being seen in the north bay as well as are right in the core of the bay area, south bay and inland. you're actually looking pretty nice, suppose got some clearing skies overhead. winds from the coastline sweeping into the delta last night. still got a bit of that breeze that's helping to cool us off in this forecast. generally stays a little bit cooler. we have a brief temperatures spike into sunday and monday. these will be your 2 warmest days of the rest of the forecast. but for the rest april, we are definitely trending cooler with mostly 60's to 70's for daytime highs and even towards next thursday, the opportunity of a few sprinkles here in the bay area. nothing major in the works, but definitely a little bit more like your early spring. then what we had been looking at 50's and 60's for sf as well as at the coastline and then 60's to 70's elsewhere. today is a temperature drop from yesterday of around 5 degrees on average. not a huge difference. and that just gets us to those comfortable mid 70's. in most cases, fremont at 73 while oakland up through richmond only

taking a live look outside across the bay area. get ready because a cold storm is expected to sweep across the region, bringing chilly temperatures and rain this weekend. let's get over to meteorologist jessica burch. >> it is a dry day throughout the bay area but we are gearing up for some rain gearing up late tonight, early tomorrow morning. ahead of that, we will see clouds in the forecast. it is not until midnight tonight where we see the first band of rain impacting the bay area near san francisco, stretching up into the north bay with some heavier pockets of rain isolated in the center of that first band. watching the storm track off into the east into the early morning hours tomorrow, many of us will be sleeping during this time but it is worth noting if you are an early riser on the weekend, you will be dealing with really active weather. here we go all the way into the afternoon hours. notice how the first band moves off into the sierra and we are left with some hit or miss showers around 1:00. this is a pretty impressive
