let's get right out to team coverage. joyce evans is live in gulph mills montgomery county. we begin tonight with kathy orr who will time this out for us. kathy. >> iain we're talking about a one-two punch with this storm. this is going to develop into a major winter storm. this one is a nor'easter unlike the other storm last week but nevertheless another powerful storm. now, this is the beginning the genesis of the storm. the primary low right now over the northern plains with blizzard conditions and winter storm warnings for those folks. we'll watch this area of low pressure redevelop off the coast of the mid atlantic and then sip up the eastern seaboard. because it's going to be a little bit farther to the south than the last storm it will have longer to travel and that means more moisture to gather. as it continues to pull down the cold air, it will be changing that rain over to snow during the day on wednesday. wednesday is the day to change any type of travel plans a great day to stay inside. so let's go hour by hour with this fox future cast.
5:01 pm
we'll take from it the current time through tuesday night. when the clouds will move in look how close the snow is. snow, you have sleet and you have rain. the change over is going to occur on wednesday. you can see at noon pretty much all from philadelphia to the north and west in snow but still some sleet and rain to the south and then during the day on wednesday, that snowfalls heavy at times and moves out about 11:00 p.m. but we will be accumulating inches of snow and that is why the national weather service has issued a winter storm watch for tomorrow night through wednesday night for most of the region for at least three to 6-inches of snow from philadelphia south and east and possibly six to 12 north and west. we'll talk more about those amounts, iain, with this developing situation a little bit later on in the broadcast. it's hard to get that much snow in march. but it definitely has happened before. >> all right. kathy, thanks. of course with another storm on the way, the next few days, cleanup continues around the area after fridays nor'easter took down power lines, trees and plenty more. more than 45,000 people in our

all right. this is really one to pay attention to. the last storm was as well. that one was more rain, snow and wind much this is more snow and some wind to go along with it. so wednesday it's going to be one of those tough travel days, reduced visibility, some wind just a day to plan to stay close to home or just be inside. maybe work from home perhaps or call out. take look right now it's pretty quiet out there. we have just seeing partly cloudy skies today and temperatures that are in the 4 40s. northerly wind gusting to about 25 today right now 22 miles an hour winds keeping it achillea in the air and temperatures in the 40s everywhere. reading 42. that northerly wind in wilmington keeping it at 45 this afternoon. the big story though that was brewing over the weekend and now really looks like it's coming into form is two storms. one area of low pressure bringing blizzard conditions and winter storm warnings to the northern plains into the great lakes. and another storm that will form off the coast.
